React named as a finalist in small business award

An award-winning family business is in the running for a prestigious award after being announced as a finalist in the Federation of Small Businesses awards.

Bosses at React Computer Partnership in Woodbridge have spoken of their delight after making it through to the final three in the East of England FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards. The category – Family Business of the Year – is particularly special for React, which was started 23 years ago by brothers Francis, Richard and Alan Pledger before the brothers were joined by their sister, Penny, when she became office manager. Francis said:

“We are very proud to be a family business and the ethos of React Computer Partnership is in line with those values. The FSB awards are a prestigious celebration of the SME community and we are delighted to be nominated in this category.”

The company, which now employs eight members of staff from its office in Deben Mill Business Centre, offers IT support and services to small and medium-size businesses across East Anglia. Francis said:

“We are now supporting more and more companies move into more of a cloud-based solution which, if used correctly, can make a huge difference.”

React are past winners of the EADT Business Awards and the Suffolk Coastal Business & Community Awards where they won the Innovation Award.

The East of England final of the FSB awards takes place at Newmarket Racecourse on Friday 5^thApril before all the regional winners take their place in the grand final at Battersea Evolution on Thursday 23^rdMay.
