IT firm pledges their support for the Woodpeckers
React Computer Partnership are delighted to announce they’ve become Premier Sponsors for Woodbridge Town Football Club. There’s been a local football club in Woodbridge since the 1800’s and the club were also one of the founders of the Suffolk County Football Association. They’ve gone from strength to strength at their first recorded match they beat St Helens (Ipswich) 10-0 and they also became the first winners of the Suffolk County Senior Cup. Since those days they’ve built firm foundations with former ITFC legend Mick Stockwell as team manager joining them in 2004. During Mick’s time he rebuilt the structure of the club and continued the development of their youth teams. After his departure in 2007 a brand new management team have led the way with Glenn Read, Andy Lawrence and Sean Thacker now at the helm.
Alan Pledger, Director of React Computer Partnership and Player Manager of the veteran team Albion Mills explains why React have decided to support Woodbridge Town FC ‘We firmly believe in supporting our local community, especially activities for the younger members of the town and this seemed an ideal way of doing just that, plus we all enjoy football so there’s a vested interest too!’
The IT Development and Support company based at Deben Mill in Woodbridge will be sponsors for the next 12 months and are looking forward to standing on the touchline to add their support in person too.
David Leech who’s part of the Commercial Team for Woodbridge Town FC said ‘To help us to continually develop the club at Notcutts Park these type of gestures from local business really are a life line for us and something we actively encourage from any other companies’.
