Directors put their clothes back on to hand over Mile Swim donations
Alan and Richard Pledger, were back in their more familiar business suits this month as they met with the Area Volunteer Manager for Cancer Research UK – Paul Fleet. The IT Directors handed over a cheque for £673 raised by the generous donations of those who kindly sponsored them both and also Alison, Alan’s wife. The three of them took part in the Big Swim at Alton Water in wetsuits at the end of the summer.
‘We’ve already got plans to take part in a larger event in 2010’ Alan Pledger said ‘We like the idea of swimming again in more challenging waters and Richard’s still determined to have another go at beating me!’
Paul Fleet from Cancer Research UK thanked the brothers sincerely for their efforts in raising this amount of money for such a great cause and said he hoped to see them again next year.
